Buying new gear for guitar playing?

Hi, I've moved on from the stage I was on at guitar playing and I'm
going to sell all my not so good gear and get a bunch on new gear. I
want to play stuff like Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine and Rise
against etc. So I was wondering what do people recommend? my budget
for an amp is about £150 but I was thinking of getting a Line 6
spider 3 15 watt amp, are these a good job for what I want done? and
what would be a suitable guitar? my budget for that is roughly £200
